Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician with expertise in solar system installation to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, with a particular focus on solar power installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This role requires a commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including wiring, inverters, and other electrical components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure proper installation of solar systems.
• Perform electrical work in accordance with local, state, and national electrical codes.
• Conduct system tests to ensure proper functioning of solar systems and troubleshoot any issues.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure timely and accurate project completion.
• Adhere to safety standards and protocols, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and answering questions about the installation process.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project progress.

Qualifications:

• Valid Journeyman Electrician license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician, with a focus on solar system installation.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.
• Experience with a variety of solar PV systems, including grid-tied, off-grid, and hybrid systems.
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) or equivalent.
• Experience with battery storage systems and advanced energy management technologies.
• Familiarity with permitting processes and utility interconnection requirements.
